Community & Events
At Cooper Antiques, we believe antiques are more than objects — they are stories waiting to be shared.
As we grow, this page will feature upcoming initiatives and gatherings that celebrate heritage, collecting, and community across Vancouver Island — including the Cowichan Antique Crawl, Community Heritage Talks, seasonal events, and special promotions.
We invite you to follow along as these plans take shape.

Community Heritage Talks
As Cooper Antiques grows, we look forward to hosting a series of informal Community Heritage Talks centred around the art of collecting and the stories behind meaningful objects.
The gatherings will be led by longtime collector and former museum curator Ron Candy, who will share insights drawn from decades of experience, from how collections begin to how they evolve, to the deeper cultural and historical context that gives objects their lasting significance.
Some talks may explore specific collections or categories of antiques; others may focus on broader themes such as stewardship, preservation, and the joy of the hunt. From time to time, we also hope to invite guest speakers to share their expertise and passion.
Our hope is to create a welcoming space for collectors, history enthusiasts, and curious visitors alike — where questions are encouraged, stories are shared, and a deeper appreciation for heritage can grow in good company.
Details to be announced.
